Once again, a plotless story courtesy of Northlight! (I had a tiny little idea which didn't lend itself to a plot, but I wrote it anyhow... actually that would describe most of my fics < g >).
Disclaimer: The X-Men are Marvel's, the not quite X-Men are mine in all of their glorious stupidness :)

"-And don't break anything!" Cyclops said sternly, facing his pinkvisor wearing cheap rip-off. The X-Men were going on a well deserved vacation, but unfortunately it would create a void should they leave -- thus, the rip-offs. Cyclops was looking forward to the vacation, he only regretted that their... replacements would be staying in his home.

"Right, no breakage," OneEye nodded solemnly. If that dumb Cyclops guy didn't leave soon, OneEye decided he'd just toss him out. The X-Men leader had already cautioned them about everything inside the house, outside the house, and in the town that they had to look out for, be cautious of, or all out avoid.

"Gambler, look at this!" a shrill voice called out as Rouge raced down the stairs, holding a tiny, lacy, little bit of sleep wear. "Isn't it just darling!?"

"You come back here this instant!" Rogue hissed, looking absolutely mortified that her cheap rip-off was prancing around in front of everyone with the highly impractical bit of lace. "And keep out of my clothes or I'll -- do something that's really painful and not all that nice!"

If he wasn't the dignified leader of this particular group of misfits, Cyclops would have laughed at the expression on Rogue's face. That laughter faded quickly when Pheenix came into the room with a pair of bright yellow, and very small underwear. I thought I burned those! Cyclops thought, paling slightly.

'You'll try these on for me, won't you, babybutt?" Pheenix cooed into OneEye's ear.

Those things are definitely being burnt.

"Let's go," Cyclops told his X-Men before he decided that sweltering in the heat and having spandex melt to his body was preferable to having these weird people take over his home.

He only hoped that he wouldn't end up regretting that decision.

"They gone yet?" Psi-Lock inquired as she came out of the kitchen, Beast's hidden stash of twinkies in hand. She brushed a lock of violet hair out of her violet eyes and looked around consideringly. "This place could use some serious redecorating."

Furball pursed his furry (pale) blue lips. "I believe you are right, my dear Psi-Lock. Since we will be inhabiting this structury-thingy for the next while, let's make it to our liking!"

"Let's do it!" OneEye exclaimed. After all, they did have to keep busy until they needed to fight the forces of evil.

Furball was bored. He was in the labratory-thingy and there was nothing to do! He picked up a vial of liquid and absently spun it around. It teetered at the edge of the table before crashing down on the floor with it's fellow vials.

Furball's eyes landed on the computer and he considered it thoughtfully. Maybe he'd have something to do if he installed a fun computer game!

Several moments later, after the computer had finally turned on, Furball was trying to figure out what he could get rid of to make enough room for his favourite game.

'Legacy Virus' he read. That sounded boring. That Beast guy probably wouldn't mind loosing such a lame sounding game.

Furball smiled and deleted the folder.

Snikt was in the room that he'd be living in until the other X-Men came back. He looked around and sniffed at the room suspiciously.

"GRRR!" he grr'ed. And then he did it again.

He decided that he had to mark his territory, so he did.

Pheenix was sitting on her new bed, looking through Jean and Scott's photo album. She decided all those boring pictures would look way better as a collage.

The X-Men would be so surprised when they got home and saw this!

Rouge was in her room, brushing her white hair with the unusual streak of brown hair that was her trademark. She smiled at Gambler in her mirror.

He had rouge all over his face -- the unfortunate result of skin to skin contact with Rouge. He didn't look like he minded.

OneEye smiled -- he had a feeling that this was going to be a great summer.

~End~
