Post-Claremont Reality
Stories taking place during the time period between Chris Claremont's departure from the X-Men (circa XM #3) and Rogue and Gambit's break-up in XM #45.

"Smoke and Mirrors"
by RogueStar

This story is basically a rewrite of current continuity--and a pretty good one at that. Centering on the relationship between Rogue and Remy and on the growing human intolerance of mutants, this story begins (in terms of "normal" continuity) just before Bishop joins the team and ends just after LegionQuest.

"Tales of the Twilight Menshevik"
by Tilman Stieve

Takes place sometime after X-Men 8. A series of stories set just after Chris Claremont's departure from the X-Books. Features tales about multiple X-characters--including Rogue--as well as characters from other Marvel and D.C. books.
(In progress.)

"The Archetype Association"
by Jim R. McBriarty

Begins sometime before Fatal Attractions. The X-Men's newest member has just shown up at the front door -- literally. He's showing the X-Men a new view of the world -- and showing Rogue some undivided attention.
(Unfinished.)

"The End of Innocence"
by Ruby Lis

After Rogue is brutally assaulted, the X-Men try to guide her through her recovery, and Gambit tries to make good on an old promise. The sequel is "Scars."
(Warning: Mature themes explicitly dealing with rape, sex.)

"Lightchylde Remastered"
by Brian Newberry

While everyone still mourns young Illyanna Rasputin's death from the Legacy Virus, a new Magik literally drops from the sky into the X-Men's backyard.

"I Don't Remember"
by Vicki Lew

Sometime between X-Men 24 & 41. When Gambit loses his memory and falls for another woman, Rogue deals with the situation the only way she knows how.
(Unfinished.)

"Incarnidine"
by Ruby Lis

Just after the first Gambit limited series. A foray into Storm's past sends Ororo and Rogue into a hurricane of internal chaos as multiple personalities wage war within Rogue's psyche, forcing both women to face their own bloody pasts.

"Judas Complex"
by Bela LeBeau

Beast and Husk have been murdered, their deaths unexplained as their friends and family try to cope with grief -- and the suspicion that the murder may have been one of their own.
(Unfinished.)

"Rogue 1/2: Scent of a Mutant"
by Jaelle and Orla

A crossover of sorts with the anime series "Ranma 1/2." Rogue falls into a mysterious spring and emerges as a skunk. The story sorta kinda has some basis in continuity. Sort of. Read it--You'll laugh. A lot.

"Normality"
by Vicki Lew

A chance meeting with a lost dog brings Rogue into the home of a happy, very normal family.

"Rogue: Shared Sunrise"
by Allen Sumner

Rogue ponders the events of the night before, and new people come to visit the mansion. The sequel to "Gambit: Magic Man."
(Unfinished)

"Secrets Better Left Unknown"
by J and Revel

The X-Men prepare to infiltrate the FOH headquarters.
(Unfinished)

"Self Seeking"
by Alykat

Takes place during Rogue and Iceman's road trip, circa XM 42-45. While Rogue battles her inner demons, Bobby tries to deal with his own. From Bobby's point of view.
